MEDIA FEST “IGNITE”

Satyam School of Journalism & Mass Communication (SSJMC), affiliated with SNDT Women’s University, successfully organised its grand annual media fest “IGNITE 2K25” on December 19 at its Noida campus with vibrant enthusiasm and wide participation. Centered on the theme “Heritage Rising: Reviving Our Legacy,” the fest celebrated the fusion of India’s rich cultural heritage with contemporary media practices, bringing together students, faculty, media professionals, and distinguished guests. The event was graced by eminent dignitaries including Ms Devika Mehta, Mr. Salman, Adv. Seema Kushwaha, Shri Durga Nath Swankar, Ms. Gaiety Bhabya, Mr. Himanshu Shekher Mishra, Mr. Prateek Srivastava, Prof. (Dr.) Vikram Singh, Mr. Sanjay Pandey, Dr. Saroj Mishra, and Shri Kanchan Azad, along with industry experts like RJ Aman (Red FM), Ms. Kashish Dixit, Ms. Mahi Sharma, and Dr. Rahul Gupta (Fortis Hospital, Noida), who shared valuable insights on media, communication, and society.

The fest transformed the campus into a vibrant hub of creativity and expression, offering students an immersive platform to explore real-world media dynamics, collaborate, and showcase their storytelling, performance, and technical skills. Addressing the gathering, CA (Dr.) Pradeep K. Gupta and Dr. Sneh Singh highlighted the importance of education beyond classrooms and the role of media in promoting cultural consciousness, while Dr. Priyanka Sarkar emphasized student excellence and industry readiness. The fest featured dynamic competitions such as RJ Hunt, Walk of Fashion, Click-O-Mania, Footloose, Step Up, Halla Bol, Saptak, and FlickIt, showcasing exceptional creativity and talent. Concluding on a high note with vibrant performances and meaningful engagement, IGNITE 2K25 reinforced SSJMC’s commitment to nurturing ethically grounded, culturally aware, and professionally skilled media practitioners.
